Prenatal care, at your door.

If you're pregnant and a drive across town is the last thing you want, I bring the table to you. Visits are gentle, adjusted for how far along you are, and planned around the rest of your care team.

What a prenatal visit is

It's the same kind of visit I give anyone, changed to suit pregnancy. We start with how you're feeling and what has changed since you got pregnant, I look at how you move, stand and sit, and then I work by hand with low force in positions that are comfortable for you, which may mean lying on your side or propped up rather than face down. You can ask me to stop or change anything at any point.

I have formal training in prenatal care, and my malpractice coverage includes pregnant patients.

Each visit includes

  • A conversation about how you're feeling and what has changed
  • A look at how you move, stand and sit
  • Gentle adjustments by hand, explained before each one
  • Time to ask whatever you want to ask
  • A short written plan for the days in between

How a visit runs

  1. You call or book

Tell me roughly how far along you are and who is caring for you, whether that's an OB, a midwife, a doula or a mix, so I know who is on your team.

  2. I show up and set up

I bring the table. Clear a patch of floor about the size of a bed and tell me about stairs or parking ahead of time. Your partner, your doula or anyone else you want in the room is welcome.

  3. We talk before I touch anything

You tell me how the pregnancy is going and what has been bothering you, I check how you move, and I tell you what I'm seeing and what I'd do about it. Nothing happens without your okay.

  4. I adjust gently

Everything is by hand and low force, and I say what's coming before it happens. If a position or a movement is uncomfortable, tell me and I'll change it.

  5. You get a plan

A few things to do before the next visit, written down, plus a note of anything I'd bring up with your OB, midwife or doula.

Alongside your OB or midwife

I don't replace prenatal care, so keep your appointments and let your OB or midwife know you're seeing me. With your permission I'll share what I did and what I noticed with your whole team, and if something comes up that belongs with them, I'll tell you and ask you to call them. When you book, let me know about any bleeding, a high-risk designation, or advice from your provider to avoid certain things, because depending on what you tell me I may ask you to check with your OB or midwife first.

What I won't promise

Every pregnancy is different and so is every person's response to care. I don't treat pregnancy or any condition that comes with it, and I don't promise that a visit will change how your pregnancy or your birth goes. You get a gentle visit, a plain explanation of what I did, and no pressure to come back.

If you have bleeding, leaking fluid, severe pain, a headache that won't ease, or the baby is moving less than usual, call your OB or midwife right away, or 911 in an emergency, and don't wait for a house call.

Tell me about your pregnancy.

Call or book, tell me who is on your care team, and I'll confirm a time.
